Hofesh Shechter Company remain part of Arts Council England’s National Portfolio of Organisations

We are pleased to be remaining part of Arts Council England’s National Portfolio of Organisations and to be receiving continued funding investment from 2023-2026. This core funding will enable us to devise a world-class programme for artists, participants, communities, partners and audiences across England, the UK and beyond. Through the creation of our high-quality, critically-acclaimed productions for the stage and screen; the delivery of our Shechter Moves Learning, Engagement and Development programme and our award-winning Shechter II Artist Development Programme, providing much-needed paid opportunities for emerging artists (aged 18-25) to train, create and tour within a professional dance company, we will inspire each and every person we reach and create a more accessible and representative dance sector.

We know that today’s outcome will have been positive for some friends and peers and disappointing for others, with extremely difficult news for some. We recognise we still have a long way to go to bring the arts back to the vibrant sector it was, and we are committed to doing all we can as part of its ongoing recovery and dynamic future.
